Keystone Tops the League!
18th July 2011
According to the latest Housemark/Tribal Report into the use of IT in social housing, Keystone is now used by more RSL's and Local Authorities than any other system, with 100 organisations now part of the Keystone Community. In second place were Codeman, with 86 recorded users.
A comparison with the previous year's report shows that Keystone added 20 new customers during the year, compared with an additional 4 customers reported by the next fastest growing supplier.
Keystone launches first industry specific Component Accounting solution
5th April 2011
Keystone, the market leading asset management solution provider has extended its product range to include the sector’s first Component Accounting system specifically designed to meet the sole requirements of the housing sector. Built to uniquely address the needs of social housing providers, Keystone Component Accounting delivers clarity and understanding to all users – Finance, Asset Management and others whilst leveraging the existing asset management records and associated business processes.
At the recent NHF Finance Conference held at the University of Warwick, in excess of 25 organisations expressed a strong interest in this innovative product. This is in addition to a similar number of enquiries which Keystone has received from its existing customers who attended the 150 strong user group meeting at Conference Aston at the beginning of March.
Commenting on the interest received so far Rob Hewes, Client Relationship Director, said: “Although it is early days for our Component Accounting product, the interest we have received so far has exceeded all expectations. We knew our product was unique because of its social housing specific features, and we expected some interest from our existing clients. However, to have received so many enquiries in such a short space of time demonstrates the strength of our solution in the housing sector.
“To coincide with the CIH Annul Conference in Harrogate, we expect to announce two early adopters of this new product, including one of England’s largest housing associations!”
The Component Accounting solution is built within Keystone’s existing asset management database thereby negating the need for creating business processes and IT interfaces to update Asset Management and Component Accounting records. This implicit cross reference is of major benefit to organisations as it not only reduces operating costs but also eliminates the potential for errors which separate systems and processes create. Commenting on the seamless database integration, Technical Director Jan Maes says: “The ability to automate the updates of Component Accounting records from events in asset management, and property & technical services in the organisation will ensure that over time the Component Accounting records do not paint a different story to those held in Asset Management. Such certainty will give both the organisation and its auditors peace of mind and ensure that the financial records are a true and fair reflection of the organisation’s assets!
“No other solution in the market offers such safeguards.”
As Keystone advocates would expect, to assist clients in the process of adopting Component Accounting, Keystone is offering its clients a comprehensive implementation service as part of the fixed cost of purchasing the software. This implementation service does not cap the amount of resource or time and offers the cost and delivery conscious client organisation total peace of mind.
Implementing Component Accounting is a colossal task. Keystone’s industry specific solution built on its existing asset management products will enable clients to continue to focus on what’s important to their organisation and customers, safe in the knowledge that the Keystone solution offers the best benefits in the short as well as the long term.
